Preparation Guidelines

Preparing for your breathwork experience:

Sonic Neural Breathwork is a transformational breathwork experience designed to help you process and move stuck energy, emotions, and trauma in the body/spirit/unconscious mind to offer you an experience of "release and reset". This is a potent breathwork practice that can also open doors to altered states of consciousness (transcendental or psychedelic experiences) for some, help to empty/still the mind, provide clarity/downloads/insights, heal the body, and provide a bird's eye view of your life and a more open perspective. Because of the potency of this experience, preparation and integration are essential.

Preparation:

  • Minimize consumption of news, violent/stressful media for at least 24 hrs prior

  • Do not eat a full meal right before the breathwork, a light snack an hour before is okay.

  • Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water starting the day before.

  • Set your intentions for the breathwork.

What to bring:

  • Eye mask

  • Water

  • Chapstick

  • Yoga mat or sleeping pad (thicker is better, you will be lying down for this breathwork.)

  • Pillow

  • Blanket

  • Warm, comfortable clothes

Integration:

  • Try your best not to schedule too much for the next day (especially work). Downtime and time in nature are recommended.

  • We will have time for integration immediately after the breathwork.

  • I will provide a full integration document after the experience.

Because of the nature of this breathwork, if you have any of the following contraindications, I cannot safely facilitate this breathwork for you.

Contraindications Include:

  • Severe heart issues or pacemaker

  • Seizures or epilepsy

  • Detached retina

  • Glaucoma

  • History of aneurysms in immediate family

  • Severely prone to fainting or passing out

  • Use of prescription blood thinners such as coumadin

  • Severely low, high, or uncontrolled blood pressure

  • History of severe panic attacks

  • Psychosis, fragile psyche, or schizophrenia

  • Pregnancy

  • Strokes, TIAs, seizures, or other brain/neurological conditions or disease

  • Uncontrolled bipolar disorder

  • Osteoporosis whereby intense movement could cause physical issues

  • Severe (level 3) trauma (fractured psyche, multiple personalities, etc.)

If any of these apply to you, please let me know.

5. Diet (Energetic & Physical)

  • Do your best to stay away from electronics for a couple of days.

  • Stay away from people who are dense in vibration during your integration process.

  • Do your best to eat whole, grounding foods such as organic meats, rooty vegetables, and whole grains.

  • Drink plenty of water and GET PLENTY OF SLEEP.
